The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body of the Government of India established in 1987 by an Act of Parliament to promote, regulate, and coordinate the development of technical education in India. It sets standards for courses and institutions, accredits programs, promotes quality and innovation, and provides grants to technical institutions to ensure a planned and coordinated approach to technical and management education.
